Art Teachers Diploma

Objectives: To enable the Art Teacher to expert leadership in program development in Art for primary and middle school to make him sufficiently grounded in both theory and practice of his subject-matter and possessed of the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching the subject in an integrated manner to enable him to contrive and use variety of effective teaching and learning procedures. He should be competent and willing to experiment with approved and new methods of presenting art experience to children. To enable him to recognize individual needs of students and create teaching and learning situations based on individual needs, he should be skillful in recognizing and fosterling creative talent in pupils.

Practice Teaching:
Every teacher undergoing training will be required to conduct 7 lessons in Art and 3 lessons in Crafts in full-fledge primary school and / or middle school (V to VIII) under the guidance of qualified Master of Method. He is also required to observe at least 10 lessons conducted by other and keep a record of his comments thereon.
